Myra Biegelaar
Myra Biegelaar is a born adventurer with a heart for people. Born in the Netherlands, but shaped by 20 years of living and working in different African countries. As a result, she has gained extensive experience in dealing with different cultures. She realized, because of the many relocations and the practical problems she encountered, how important it is that the settlement in a new country - which is exciting enough - runs smoothly.
When she found her home in Curaçao in 1989, she put her passion into action and founded Dos Mundos N.V.
Dos Mundos is the partner for anyone who wants to start a new life on Curaçao.
Dos Mundos is the leading company in Curaçao that professionally guides newcomers, including entrepreneurs, through immigration formalities and provides them with essential information to make their settlement as smooth as possible. Over the past 35 years, Myra has also often acted as a mediator, building bridges between newcomers, the government and the business community.
Myra studied Antillean Law at the University of the Netherlands Antilles and Dutch Law at the Catholic University of Nijmegen. She has taught immigration law and related areas of law to various groups and institutions. She also provided training on how to deal with cultural differences.
Myra has taught for several years in the course Immigration Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Curaçao. She is (co-)author of the book "The Immigration Law of Curaçao".

We register the vacancy with the job board in order to comply with legal requirements. - Payment of Work Permit Fees
We take care of the payment of the costs for the work permit to SOAW. - Work Permit Submission
After the mandatory period of 5 weeks registration of the vacancy, we submit the application for the work permit. - Notice of objection:
- Submission of a notice of objection to the SOAW if an assessment has not been made within a reasonable period of time.
- Pick up work permit
We will collect the work permit as soon as it is approved. - Payments for Admission Organization
We take care of all necessary payments to the Admission Organization - Apply for Residency

Registration in the Population Register * : What you need to know
An important part of the registration process is registration in the population register, which often causes confusion.
This registration can only take place after your permit has been approved and you have collected the residence stamp from the Immigration Service.
To register, you will need a registered residential address.
Unfortunately, many residential addresses in Curaçao are not known to the population register.
This can happen with both new addresses and addresses of older houses that have never been registered.
Without a registered residential address, you cannot register in the population register. This means that you cannot apply for a Sedula and obtain a BB 10 declaration, which is required for the duty-free customs clearance of your container.
The problem is often not recognized by landlords, real estate agents or even sellers of your property. Despite the fact that a notarial deed has been executed at the address and the water and electricity bill is at the address, it often happens that the address is not registered with the population register.
The Department of Spatial Planning (R.O.P.) is the only authority that can register an address.
This is subject to a special procedure **.
As soon as they provide proof of registration, we can register you in the population register.
This step may delay the registration process.
If you know your address, we advise you to ask Dos Mundos to check the address with the population registry. This way you can check in advance whether the address needs to be registered. In addition, we need a copy of the rental contract with an ID of the landlord, or a deed of sale, in which the registered address is clearly stated.
